

Like
most of France the Limousin has its fair share of superb restaurants
and auberges. As the region which produces arguably the worlds best
breed of beef cattle then steak features heavily on the menu. That
and the source of the most varied and sought after range of mushrooms
in France, and a reputation for hearty dishes, means there is a real
voyage of discovery to be had for all the gourmets among you.
On the menu above (no pun intended!) you will find details of three
of our favourite restaurants close to Les Hirondelles cottages which
we know well and visit regularly. There is also a list of recommended
restaurants although they are a few amongst hundreds of excellent
establishments in the region.
